Box of Frogs
Andrew Swaine
Andrew is one of the country's leading callers, for whom contra dancing is a passion. He started calling in Cambridge when a student just before the millennium, and turned his hand to contra shortly after as a wave of great English contra bands was beginning. Since then he's called at events and festivals all over the place and written some contra dances that push the boundaries of what defines a contra dance. He aims to give a programme that balances giving every dancer a great experience while showcasing the variety of choreography in contra dancing, as well as including the occasional square.
